1. Scope
These terms cover your use of the Nuan iPhone app, the Apple Watch app and the Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face widgets, provided by the developer of Nuan (“we”). By downloading or using Nuan, you agree to these terms. Anything these terms do not cover is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. What Nuan Offers
Nuan is a cat companion app for relaxing. Nuan the cat reads the Apple Health summaries you allow, estimates roughly how relaxed you are today and shows it through its pose. The app also offers a set of widget styles for your Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face.
Nuan is free to use, and the free Cream Nook style works fully in every widget shape. Lifetime unlocks the other styles (currently Night Glow, Clear Sky and Ink Shadow), so all 4 are yours.
3. A Lifestyle Reference, Not Medical Advice
The Nuan app is not a medical device. The relaxation score and the cat’s state are estimates made by comparing health summaries with your own usual. They are a lifestyle reference, not a medical diagnosis, and do not replace advice from a doctor or other professional.
Estimates depend on how you wear your watch, how much data there is and what the devices measure, and they may be inaccurate. Please don’t make health decisions based only on Nuan’s score or messages; if you have questions about your health, talk to a doctor.
4. Apple Health and Apple Watch
The relaxation score needs your permission for Nuan to read Apple Health. Heart rate variability and resting heart rate mostly come from Apple Watch; without a watch or with too little data, Nuan shows Waiting instead of a made-up score.
The system decides when widgets and watch faces refresh, so they may update later than the app.
5. Lifetime
Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and never renews, and its price is the one shown on the App Store purchase confirmation. Apple handles payment, refunds and billing under its own terms; to ask for a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
After changing devices or reinstalling, sign in with the Apple Account you bought it with, open Widget Styles and tap Restore Purchases to get Lifetime back. You won’t be charged again.
6. Acceptable Use
The Nuan app is for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t crack, reverse engineer, copy or resell it, or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability and Changes
We work to keep Nuan stable and pleasant, but we can’t promise it will run without interruption or error on every device, system version and setting. We may change, add or remove features and release them as app updates.
Online features of version 3.x, such as AI palm reading, will stop working once the old service shuts down.
8. Intellectual Property
Nuan’s look and animations, the widget styles, the interface and the copy belong to us and are protected by law. Please don’t copy, distribute or use them commercially without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Nuan app is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect losses caused by using or being unable to use it. Where mandatory law says otherwise, that law applies.
10. Privacy
Please read the Privacy Policy for how data is handled. In short: Nuan has no accounts and no server, and health data is calculated only on your devices.
11. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms for product updates or legal reasons and will update the date on this page. Continuing to use Nuan after an update means you accept the updated terms.
